Day two in Winter Park - Eldora

Vidak, Josh and I went out for breakfast again this morning, this time in Winter Park. We stopped by a board shop after eating and Vidak got a great deal on a freestyle board! Today we decided to snowboard at Eldora, another 90 minute drive away from Winter Park. It might sound dumb to do all of that driving again, but Josh and I were so disapponted with the previous conditions at Winter Park that we didn't want to pay to go back there... plus, at Eldora, you could exchange your lift ticket from any other Colorado Resort for a free lift ticket at Eldora. So we skiied there for free!

When we got to the resort, Josh and Vidak took some silly photos of each other...

Some of the lifts at the resort were closed, which forced me to start on a lift with only blue and black runs. We rode up together and Josh and Vidak rode down on their own, and I was left to start on some blues! I actually had a great time riding down by myself, though the first run I picked had a very steep section (to me) that I just couldn't link turns on! Josh and Vidak met up with me and Vidak tried to give me a pep talk on the steep part of the run, but I was still very nervous!

Later, I took photos of Josh and Vidak at the terrain park. This was the best one from that photo shoot!

At the end of the day, Josh and Vidak got the great idea to jump off of the lift. They picked a pretty low drop point on the lift, but I still can't believe that they actually did it!

We went to Olive Garden for dinner (thanks Beba!) and made it back to Jeff's pretty late. At first, I thought we were locked out of his apartment, but he was home, thank goodness! It had been a very long day and we went to bed not long after arriving home.

Josh's high today was being able to ski for free! My high was seeing how much fun Vidak and Josh had at Eldora. Josh's low was another day of lots of driving, and my low was driving home from Olive Garden... I had to drive and it was snowing on a scary mountain road! Josh's "ho" was jumping off the lift, and my "ho" was getting in trouble with ski patrol when the three of us were being too rowdy!
