Josh had to wake up bright and early this morning because of the Aerospace Engineering department's open house. I got to sleep in and when I finally woke up, I had a very lazy day just watching movies on Netflix :)
After his full day of presentations and meetings, Josh was super exhausted when he came back to the hotel so we decided to go grab a beer with a tour of Avery Brewing Company. It's a small microbrewery but the tour was one of the most informative we've seen yet, and their beer was pretty delicious... though the wheat beer tasted just like Harpoon's UFO Hefeweizen!
The Aerospace Engineering department's evening events were free pizza and bowling on campus and we headed there after visiting the brewery. I felt a little awkward since they obviously knew I was an intruder, but Josh and I just hung out with two other students from the University of Florida... they had actually been in a class that Josh TA'ed for! The last event for the day was an impromptu trip to an Irish pub, so we tagged along with the other attendees and had a beer before heading back to the hotel, where we ate Olive Garden leftovers and watched more movies!
My high was being able to stay in my pajamas until noon today! Such a luxury! Josh's high was the informative brewery tour, and his low was all of the meetings at the open house. My low was seeing how much the open house exhausted Josh, just because it forces him to interact with lots of strangers... my fake low was that we didn't take any photos today!!! Oops! My "ho" was when Josh described the open house breakfast; he said, "take twenty engineers, the most awkward people, put them in a small room with no chairs, and see what happens!"
